time is running out...

The dress is in several pieces, the shoes are in the mail, the haircuts have yet to materialize, and the deck is half built. Wedding is in less than 2 weeks. Vows need to be written, and what about ordering seafood? The list goes on and on... Oh, yeah, and about that marriage license: it appears that Dale and I will have to apply together and at the same time!!! We have trouble being in the same place at the same time, so this date at the courthouse will truly prove to be a challenge.

But so it seems to go. People have especially been nudging us to register somewhere. Dale has been telling people that we are registered at Sam's club and Walmart. Ha. Ha. I tell people we could use gift certificates to Small Potatoes Lumber, Spenard Builders Supply, and Home Depot. Everyone tells us that we are NO FUN! But what can we do? We have everything we need to have a home together. Since no one gives you presents for living together, we have become accustomed to scrounging for everything we need at garage sales and the dump. That means that pretty much everything you might buy for a home in lovely new condition would be welcome, and that we are not very picky. I promise that you will see right away when you get here that matching dishes, bowls, wine glasses, serving platters, BBQ grills, candlesticks, art, bedding, towels, juicers, and avocado green appliances will easily replace the crap we have, if you so desire to gift us with any of those or the other kinds of wedding gifts people have fun shopping for. We are really just focussing on sprucing up this place for a fabulous party, and we hope that our NO FUN attitude regarding wedding gifts doesn't get in the way of our VERY FUN attitude regarding Food, Dancing and Celebration!!! Please relax, don't worry, and have a homebrew. That's what we'll be doing.
